When I dropped that 30 days challenge, I was still writing multiple times a week and engaging for the limited time as earlier. But still my views dropped. Then, I got some work and I could not post on Medium. I noticed how my views declined. I have taken days off from Medium earlier as well, but my views never decreased. I'm not the only one who got this issue.

Before writing this post, I have seen the profiles of other famous writers as well and they are also getting the same issue.
