How to make money easily

It is not as difficult as it appears!

On August 5, I started a 30 Days Writing Challenge (15 days completed) and challenged myself to be active on Medium. Before that, I was not writing seriously. I joined Medium without asking myself, Why do I want to write here?

I had no clarity.

If you ask me how I signed up on Medium. My first answer would be, “Ummm, I don’t know. I wanted to try it. That’s it.”

What’s wrong with this attitude? Let me show you my stats for the previous 30 days before answering the question —

Author’s Stats

In one month period, I published twice (see the black dots). I got a total of 769 views out of which 304 people actually read.

Now see the data of the present —

This is my stats today. Those 700 views converted into 4729. You became my reader and supported me with 1820 reads.

Was my content bad at that time?

Nope! I pour my heart into each story.

What did I do?

Black magic? Of course not!

I changed my attitude. I went from I don’t know to I know what I want from Medium (your love). Although I missed a few days in that challenge, I am happy because my writing style evolved.

This story is not to make you feel anxious if you do not see results. This story is written to inspire you. The way I went from 700 to about 5k views in a month, you can accomplish that as well.

You — Okay Anamika. But how?

Me — Read ahead.

1. Define your goals

Whatever you want to do in the next couple of days and months, define it. Define the meaning of success to you. Who is your ideal audience? Define it. Do not do anything because others are doing it. Do what excites you. But define your objectives.

This will help you in taking better decisions after proper planning. If you are able to define your goals, you have won half battle. Congrats :D

2. Execution

Once you have completed the first task of defining, it is time to execute things. You have planned to write in the Digital Marketing niche, now the next step is to actually start writing.

Tip — In order to avoid wasting your time thinking about the topics, ideate and plan in advance, like on Sundays.

3. Consistency

This is the main reason why I got the results. If you are publishing on one day and then disappear for a week, you need to be consistent to see results.

I understand we need breaks to function properly. Take breaks on weekends and make a powerful comeback on weekdays. It is okay to miss a day. Make sure it is only one day and not many.

Final Words

Instead of comparing your results with someone else’s success, get inspired by them.

It is easy to feel frustrated by others’ achievements. However, it is difficult to congratulate them and use the fire inside us to burn that frustration. Use it to fuel your energy and put consistent effort into your tasks. I am 100% sure you will rock it.

Thanks for reading and take care :)
